London show

Happy touristy faces

Twelve hours of post-hardcore music + sitting drinking in a train station like bums + being stuck in Balsberg for what felt like a lifetime + a hairdryer and some broken biscuits = one proper smelly band.

After a rather drunken and exhausting weekend in Switzerland, we're back in the UK and straight back to work on songs for our second album. We'd like to thank everyone who stayed until the rather ungodly hour of 2am to watch our set at Deadline Festival and to the gaggle of drunken girls who provided some much needed laughter!

Now, for those of you down London way, we may have a one-off show coming up on Tuesday April 10th - this show is not confirmed, but we wanted to give you the heads up to keep the date free just in case! We'll post more info as soon as we can...

For anyone who hasn't heard, our new EP 'As Our Blood Separates' - is available to stream on the 'listen' page of the Midas Fall site. There are still a few limited CD copies of AOBS left available to buy only from ourwebshop! For those of you who prefer a digital copies the EP is also available through the usual outlets, iTunes, Amazon, Play.com etc.

As Our Blood Separates out today!

It's finally here! Our five track EP 'As Our Blood Separates' is out today on Monotreme Records! The EP consists of three brand new songs, a cover of Nine Inch Nail's 'Hurt' and the Bunkk Bed MovieScreens remix.

You can listen to some of the new tracks on the site and for a short while a limited number of CD copies will be available only from our webshop and theMonotreme Records webshop.

If you've not been on the site for a while you may have noticed that it's had an overhaul; as part of this revamp we've added a heap of full-length tracks to stream on the 'listen' page, videos to the, er, 'watch' page, an updated gallery (featuring pics from our recent European tour) and a simple, secure webshop. Hurrah! If there's anything you'd like to see on here please get in touch and let us know. We've had a lot of requests for the lyrics to go up and it's something we will do in the near future.&nbsp

For our Swiss fans - we'll be playing at
Deadline Festival in St Gallen this Saturday - tickets are available online and at the door.

Winter tour finished - EP out in nine days!

We're back from our European tour and a thoroughly awesome time was had by all. We'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came to our shows in Belgium, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Italy - it was a truly amazing experience and we can't wait to come back! We'd also like to extend a massive thank you to all the promoters for putting us on, putting us up and keeping us drunk!

We've had a little recovery time since the tour, but are now firmly focussed on putting together our second album, which we hope to release around the end of next year / beginning of 2013 with an accompanying tour. In the meantime our EP 'As Our Blood Separates' is set for release through Monotreme Records January 9th 2012. It is a strictly digital release aside from the limited number of physical copies we have for sale on our website.

You can still download a free copy of the EP's opening track 'BPD' from the Monotreme Records Soundcloud page. Oh, and we also did a cover of Nine Inch Nail's 'Hurt', and then so did Leona Lewis...er...
Our first show of the year is in St Gallen, Switzerland at Deadline Festival - skiis out!

For now we would like to wish everyone a wonderful New Year and best wishes for 2012. We'll be back with some new music very soon...

EP and Tour Update

Well, it's been another lengthy break in between posts once again, but since May we've been a right busy bunch!

June saw us play at the Oxford o2 Academy and GoGo Festival in Kent - a splendid time was had by all!

July has so far had us in and out of various tiny little rooms recording drums, bass, guitars and er, chairs. We're making good progress and hope to have the EP completed in a couple of weeks from now. That said, you'll still have to wait til November to hear it...unless of course you're signed up to our mailing list - in which case you'll be privy to a sneak preview of a brand new song, very, very soon!

Our European tour is shaping up nicely - full date and location details will be revealed shortly - needless o say that we're very, very excited to be coming over to the mainland in just a few short months!

May set to be, er quiet...

After an absolutely wonderful (if somewhat excessive) time was had by all in Berlin Easter weekend a little time for recovery was definitely in order.

We've spent the last two weeks wisely, fixing up old amps, building pedals and most importantly, writing new songs. Through the month of May we'll mostly be finishing songs for the EP we now plan to release (through the wonderful Monotreme Records) in September / October, so expect a quieter than usual month...

We have a few shows planned for June, including GoGo Festival and Stuart Warwick - have a peek on the gig listings page at midasfall.com or do what everyone does and check out the Facebook events page.

Jeniferever / Berlin / Endorsements!

We will be playing with
Jeniferever at the Mad Ferret in Preston this Tuesday ahead of our show at Berlin's Dark Spring Festival on the 23rd April. Our set in Preston begins at 8:55pm sharp...and for the first time as a full band we will be unveiling a new song - it's the first song in our set, so if you're late you'll have to wait til October to hear it on the upcoming EP (unless you come to another show) If you don't remember what some of our old songs sound like, there's a video aneath this post!

In other news, we've recently secured endorsements from
DiPinto Guitars, Dava Control Picks and Lion Cajon Drums - woop! Pictures of us abusing all of the aforementioned branded instruments will be posted in the coming weeks!

GoGo Festival / Heather Peace

Right! It's here! Time for some news! First off, we are over the moon to announce that we will be playing GoGo Festival on Saturday 18th June alongside a host of awesome bands, including Uh Huh Her, Heather Peace, Jill Jackson and Terry Poison! Day and weekend camping tickets are still available, and there are limited VIP tickets available...

We are also playing Dark Spring Festival in Berlin Easter weekend, so if you're in Berlin, get your arses down!
Our next gig is with the lovely Heather Peace from Lip Service and Jill Jackson at Glasgow's Classic Grand on April 1st. There are only a few tickets left, so if you're coming snap them up now!

And, amid all the kerfuffle of relocating, booking shows and making an EP we've got ourselves some new band members, with Steve 'Pedro Pellat taking the drum stool, Chris Wood assigned to Bass and Simon Morgan on general bitch duties, mostly piano, guitar and samples. Photo's of the new lads will be posted soon.

In the meantime, spread the word about GoGo, forward this page, follow us on Twitter, Like on Facebook get your carrier pigeons at the ready!
